Toohey
Toohey

Toohey

general domestic - male - 8 years and 1 month

Toohey is lucky to be alive. Dumped with his brother (Caspa see profile) at a Bankstown building site, both kittens were found in a dire state of care. Looking at them both now it is hard to believe that they were ever anything but happy siblings who were loved and cared for. We cannot stress how fortunate we feel to have found them.
Ideally we would prefere if the two could be adopted out together as a pair.
Both are bubbly active little critters, very friendly to all and love being in each others company. Constantly at play and not at all bothered by the carers two big dogs, that peer through the windows barking occassionally and licking them through their sleep inside crates at night. Still very young yet they are working out how to use their litter trays and are exploring there surroundings fearlessly, lets just say having lots of fun and adventure. They are due to be vaccinated, micro chipped and wormed in the next couple of weeks. Both will be due for their 2nd vaccination early in the new year with the 3rd vaccination due approximately 5 weeks after the 2nd. Toohey will need to be de-sexed once he has reach the weight of approx 2kg or the age of approx 16-18 weeks. De sexing costs are covered by DCH and are inclusive in the adoption fee. A broad list of vets with whom DCH are affiliated with provide the service. The list will be forwarded to your email address for your convenience.

Sammy
Sammy

Sammy

Dsh - male - 12 years and 9 months

Sammy is a very friendly and smoochy cat with his humans, but loves dogs and is brilliant with his permanent and foster feline friends, too. As an indoor/outdoor cat to date, it has been the local mouse population which has had to watch out!

He loves to rub up against members of his foster carer family, but tends to prefer sitting beside not on them. Like many cats, he's not that keen on being picked up. But he hasn't a mean bone in his body, so will point that out politely.

He is a very adaptable cat, but would no doubt love to find a family with other kitties or cat-friendly dogs to play with.

He looks forward to meeting you soon at his Glenhaven foster home.

Sammy's adoption fee includes microchipping, de-sexing and up to date vaccinations.

Sammy has been in foster care since 22 November 2017, for 2017.9 years

Dash
Dash

Dash

kelpie X - female - 9 years and 8 months

A very gorgeous and pretty girl. Dash is a little shy to begin with and has been playing hide and seek with her carer. She shows signs of some past heavy handedness and is nervous meeting men for the first time. She seems far more comfortable when meeting women. Eventually coming around to show her very affectionate cuddly side to all, she just needs to take her time. Dash shows no interest in the cats or the chickens which share her surroundings, however enjoys the company of the carers dog. She has bursts of playtime and likes her quiet times too. Not a needy dog, happy to have her own space.
Great with small children and walks really well on the lead. She is a gentle dog but can be a little skittish, she will need time to adjust but once she feels you can be trusted she opens up and is really adoring. Dash is a grazer with her food and toilet trained. She sleeps inside at night and likes to stay close by you, during the day she is an outdoor dog. Dash has had little past training and will need understanding owner/owners who are prepared to spend time teaching her simple commands such as recall and stay. Overall Dash is improving daily and trusting her carer and environment more and more. Clearly she has experienced unkindness from a human being before. We are looking to re home Dash to an active loving and very kind family or individual who will love and care for her as much as we do. Dash would also do well paired with another socialized friendly dog.

Dash has been in foster care since 26 November 2017, for 2017.9 years
