Darcie
Darcie

Darcie

Whippet x? - female

Darcie is a sweet girl with a lot of love to give. She enjoys the company of children. Darcie is very intelligent and easy to train using positive methods, and has graduated from the Norwest Introductory Flyball course. Darcie currently cohabits with four other dogs, two cats and a cockatiel. She likes to chase fast moving things which is great for ball play but it means not all cats would be suitable to live with her. Darcie did not have the best start in life and can get a bit anxious when alone, particularly during the settling-in period. She doesn't like roughness or being shouted at (although she enjoys a bit of chase/wrestle with a doggy friend). Darcie would do best with an owner who is home a lot, and/or a doggy companion and an owner who will give her time when at home. She also needs excellent fencing, again particularly during the settling-in period. Being part working dog (Kelpie and/or Border Collie), she does need exercise (both physical and mental), although the Whippet part of her knows how to snooze for much of the day. Darcie is on the smallish side of medium and she doesn't bark much either. She has a desire to please and does everything for her person with maximum effort. Darcie has potential to excel in dog sports, although she does not NEED this sort of home. For the right person or family, Darcie would be a rewarding companion.

Jamie
Jamie

Jamie

DSH - female

Jamie is a gorgeous female short hair with silky black fur accented by a white collar and paws. She is approx 15months old, but still has a playful nature (loves batting rolled up pieces of paper around the lounge room). She has already mothered several kittens (although now desexed) but will certainly carry on her motherly instincts. She is quite inquisitive and enjoys following you around when you come home, purring affectionately and giving soft little meows (just making sure that everything in order and under control). She has been in foster care as an indoor cat and seems quite content in an apartment setting. She enjoys watching from the window as you hang out the laundry, but does not seem to show any desire to explore the big wide world outdoors! Jamie is sweet natured and will certainly enjoy spoiling her lucky new owners!

Flash
Flash

Flash

Ragdoll - female

Flash is a gentle girl who is a little shy so a special home is required. But she is quickly responding to gentle pats and will deafen you with her purring! Flash would be best suited to a quiet indoor life without young children.

Tyla
Tyla

Tyla

DSH - female

Tyla is very, very shy when meeting new people but winning her over will be worth the effort! She is not a lap cat although in the right environment this may change! Tyla is happy to accept a few gentle pats and when all is quiet she will come and sit reasonably near to you. Tyla would feel most comfortable in a new home that is quiet and does not come equipped with very small humans! She is used to other cats but to really shine, she needs to be an only cat.

Tyla was adopted on 08 February 2007 after 1.8 years in foster care

Jasper
Jasper

Jasper

Maltese - male

Jasper is cute as a button and almost as small. He is the ultimate lapdog. Jasper was surrendered to the pound when his owner became ill and still looks a little sad. Jasper would love nothing better than spending the whole day (and night) curled up in your lap. Whenever you walk past Jasper he immediately rolls onto his back waiting for a tummy rub. He does not need much exercise but certainly still loves his walks and enjoys having a little run around the park. Jasper is excellent in the car and is housetrained. He gets along okay with my large dog but would probably prefer to be the only dog so he can get all the attention. He is a very quiet dog and you would hardly know he is there. Jasper likes children but is not interested in playing any games so would most likely be suited to a single person or couple. He would be fine living in a unit and is just waiting to be given a forever home where he can spend his whole time in your lap.

Esme
Esme

Esme

DSH - female

Lovely natured, gentle young girl. Esme has spent some time on the streets and she is so thankful to be in a loving home environment once more. She is the mother to the 6 kittens above and she is a very affectionate girl. She adores cuddles and would make someone a great lap cat. She is also used to small dogs. Esme isn't the most confident girl so a house without small children is preferred for her, she would be ideal for anyone who is after a friendly, cuddly short hair cat that is fine as either an indoor only or indoor/outdoor cat. She is also great with other cats.

Bethany
Bethany

Bethany

DSH - female

She is very affectionate with people she knows, loving to curl up on your lap for a quick snooze. She is outgoing with other cats once she gets to know them and would make a great companion for another cat. (She has formed a bond with Anton but she is still available seperately) She is used to children and is not fazed by a noisy house.
