Himalayian - male
Mo is the sweetest, most beautiful and affectionate senior citizen you will ever meet. He loves to be brushed and stroked and will sit there for hours while you pamper him. He adores attention and TLC and will lie on his back purring his heart out for a brush and a tummy rub. Mo is still very playful and don't be fooled by his age, he runs, jumps and plays like a kitten at times! At 10 years young, Mo was abandoned and left to die by his previous owner, severely neglected and starving. Mo lives with his foster carer, 2 children, a gentle cat friendly dog and 2 adult cats who are also Himalayans.
He is not fazed by any other animals as long as they are not aggressive and he will fit in to a home with existing pets and/or children. Mo is quite afraid of my 4 year old son though and would best be adopted by a family or individual with older children. Mo will only be adopted to the very best of homes and preferably to an individual who has knowledge of the Himalyan breed and care. He will need a family with time to pamper him and give him lots of love and he will reward you with his sweet and affectionate purrsonality. Unlike most Himalayans, Mo is not double coated so his beautiful fur is quite easy to maintain. His care will involve brushing at least once a day which he absolutely adores and he will need to be an inside cat only as he is quite afraid of the outside world.
Mo is litter trained, desexed, wormed, flea treated, microchipped and vaccinated and he is available for adoption now. Mo needs to stay on a high quality diet as he has had food allergies in the past but healthwise, Mo has had a full veterinary check and he is very healthy with no issues. Enquiries regarding Mo are more than welcome and

DMH - male
Hankie was found all on his own by the Ranger for Hawkesbury and put with a litter of kittens that were lucky enough to be rescued by our carer. He was a tiny little thing and at one stage we thought he wasn?t going to make it but he has beaten the odds and is a very happy, healthy little kitten.
Hankie has a special spot in his carers heart as he is a most loving, affectionate, confident, curious, playful, adorable little kitten and they have been through a lot together. He uses his front paws a lot usually to help clean out the kitty litter or pat me softly on the face when cuddling him.
Hankie is living with 2 older cats and maltese dog and gets on well with all of them. He really is a most beautiful little man and if you would like to meet him he is living at Banksia.

Exotic Shorthair - female
Pumpkin is a female Exotic Shorthair cat. She is four years old and has an absolutely divine temperament. Her purr motor is always switched on! Pumpkin has a gentle, sweet personality which echoes the traits of her ancestors, the Longhaired Persian. She loves attention and rolling on her back for belly rubs! Headbutts are her signature move and as she has previously lived with other cats and dogs, she can adapt to different home situations. Pumpkins coat only requires a weekly brush to keep it in good shape. As with other flat faced breeds, her eyes are prone to tear overflow and staining so she would need these regularly wiped clean. She is very accepting of having this done to her and as she has also been used to taking regular baths, one can simply pop her in the tub for a scrub and she makes no protest! Pumpkin isnt a fussy eater and has been enjoying beef mince and both wet and dry cat food whilst in my care. She is missing a front tooth so can have some difficulty in chewing larger dry food bits but if served smaller dry kibble, she manages well. Simply put, Pumpkin is a sweet loving girl who greatly deserves your attention! Her adoption price of $200 includes her desexing, vaccination and microchip. She is also up to date with her flea and worm treatments.

Exotic Shorthair - female
Tabitha and Dolly are two Exotic Shorthair Cats. Commonly known as the 'lazy mans Persian' they have the endearing, affectionate nature of the Persian with a bit of cheekiness thrown in. Exotics do still shed a fair bit and they are used to be groomed and bathed. Both girls love other cats and are used to dogs. These girls are used to an indoor life so do not have the street smarts of outdoor cats. They would do best in an indoor home or with restricted access to outdoors. They could be adopted together or seperated but would appreciate a home with another cat or plenty of company as they are used to this. They love to curl up on your lap and are not fussy eaters.

Collie Rough - male
Riley was advertised on Gumtree for $999.99 by his family. There were no takers and the family were on the way to the pound with only 4 days before they moved overseas and they still had not made any arrangements for Riley when they heard about DCH's Collie Rough carer. Riley was so dirty and matted but after a bath and 4 hours of grooming he is back on the road to looking like the stunning boy he should. This poor boy has been debarked and I have no idea why as he is not an excessive barker at all, in fact he hardly ever barks unless the other Collies are playing and chasing balls, which is what they do when having fun they bark, otherwise he is happy to curl up in a dog bed and have a nice nap when all is quiet. He travels well in the car, is now housetrained and is just such a beautiful soft natured boy. Riley needs a family that will make him very much a part of their family as he has been neglected far too long.
He is located at Rydal (just past Lithgow) and a property inspection is required before he can be rehomed.
Riley was adopted on 28 July 2012 after 2 months in foster care
Rotti x - male
Troy is a happy go lucky boy who loves everybody he meets. Troy walks on a lead well and is very loving. He is healthy, desexed and up to date with needles. Troy is house trained and loves to guard the house. Troy has never shown any aggression towards children but is not around them a lot. As he is a large dog he loves to be exercised. He is still quite young he can be a bit excitable and would need a little more training.
Collie Rough - male
Brodie is only a little fella but he loves big hugs and lots of cuddles. He has very good hearing and even the salt grinder has him running through the house to see what it is that is upsetting his peace and quiet. He is great with other dogs, was not house trained when he came from the pound but is all house trained now and finds a spot inside and does not move all night long. He runs around doing this little grunt thing and the other Collies all look at him ' like what are you doing' and he doesn't care, he says he is happy and just having some fun running around with his tail up in the air. He gobbles his food down as he was super thin when he can into care and we are still in the process of getting him to take gently from your hand as he is just so keen to get any food on offer. He is a super sweet and affectionate boy that deserves a home where he is involved with walks and family stuff.
He is located at Rydal (just past Lithgow) and a property inspection is required before he can be rehomed.
Brodie was adopted on 22 July 2012 after 1 month in foster care
DMH - male
This gorgeous boofa boy sure is a clown. He just loves people and has a big rumbly purr which he uses constantly. Winding legs and head butting are his specialty, he will flop himself on the floor if you are standing or on the lounge if you are sitting just for some head rubs and scratches. He should be fine in a home with older children, he also is totally fine with our large dogs. He has shown some dominant behaviour towards other kittens so may not suit a multi cat household. He is currently indoors and is very clean with his litter and loves using his scratching post.

DLH - male
Anton is a gentle soul who likes to chill out around the house. He is friendly ( sometimes a little shy at first with strangers) and L-O-V-E-S to be brushed. Anton likes other cats, and it would be great if he could be rehomed with an existing cat to encourage him to continue exercising. When Anton first came into care he weighed a whopping 11kg, but has slimmed down to 9kgs. It turns out he is addicted to food, so will need to stay on a strict diet until he reaches 6kg which is his ideal weight. His carer can tell you all about his simple yet effective feeding plan. He is currently both an inside and outside cat and he would love a secure backyard to play in and explore. Anton isn't a lap cat, but enjoys pats and sitting next to you on the couch. He is a very friendly boy, but would prefer a home with adults only as when he gets annoyed he tends to hiss
harmless but scary since he is so big! Anton is litter trained and ready for his new home now.
Anton was adopted on 20 July 2012 after 1.3 years in foster care
