Bently

Bently

DSH - male

Bentley has been suffering from cat flu for a little while now and has just been diagonsed with cherry eye which may require surgery. We are hopeful this might clear up with treatment but we should know next week if surgery is required or not.

Bentley's additional vet expenses have so far come to $313.

Thank you to Eleanor and Lisette for their generous donations. Bentley's vet care has now been fully sponsored.

Bently was adopted on 09 October 2010 after 5 months in foster care

Milly
Milly

Milly

Terrier x - female

Poor little Milly has just been rescued from the pound and the vets think she's had a litter within the last month. The Vet also found a small tumour on the mammary gland which she believes is benign. This will be removed during desexing. Milly will also need to have her dewclaws removed because they've curled and grown into her leg. This will also be done during desexing.

Besides this, every top tooth after Milly's canine teeth are going to have to be removed. They're rotten beyond belief and our vets have avised that this extensive dental work is going to have to be a separate operation from the desexing because of the amount of anaesthetic involved.

Milly's additional vet expenses have come to $831.

Thankyou to Beatrix, Kayla, Marnie, Sully, Sam, Pippa, Billy, Adrian, Pauline, Neroli, Sandra and Amanda for their generous donations towards Milly's vet fees.

Milly was adopted on 11 January 2012 after 7 months in foster care

Farrah
Farrah

Farrah

Siamese x? - female

Farrah was rescued from the pound as only a young kitten. She was dumped at the pound due to having a stomach bug, but it's turned out to be much worse than that. Farrah has had ongoing gastric problems including bleeding from her bottom and intermittent diarrohea, she has had a number of vet visits and tests but nothing up until recently had been conclusive.

She has recently been diagnosed with a variety of infections including Giardia and Corona Virus. Our vets believe she has some underlying problem which is causing her to suffer from so many ongoing illnesses and she will shortly have to undergo a range of tests and biopsies to determine exactly what is going on with her and have her treatment plan arranged. This could well be a problem she will have to have managed rather than cured, for the rest of her life. Farrah is a such a lovely natured, affectionate young girl and we are doing all we can to try and solve her ongoing problems.

Farrah's additional vet expenses will come to $1,800. *Thanks to C.Warry, M.Wood, J.Mitchell, L.Rhodes, G.Campbell, L.Schotanus, A.Nolan and C.Ong for their generous donations towards Farrah's vet costs*

Farrah was adopted on 06 February 2011 after 1 weeks in foster care

URGENT: The carers male cat has decided that he is not so fussed on Maddie anymore and it is making things difficult in the house. If you can give Maddie a permanent home or foster care then please contact us.

Maddie is a beautiful, affectionate girl who was found heavily pregnant wandering the streets.

She gave birth to 7 kittens, was and still is a truly devoted mum who deserves to find a forever home of her own after all of the hardships she has gone through in her young life and after nurturing 7 hungry kittens so well.

Maddie gets on well with other cats who are not aggressive towards her and is kitty litter trained. She loves to get a pat and will reward you with a gentle head butt to say thank you. She is such a truly affectionate girl. She needs to be an indoor only cat as she has spent enough of her life on the streets.

She eats well and is a joy to have around. If you are lucky enough to fall in love with this girl and offer her a home she will reward you with loyalty and affection for years to come.

Django
Django

Django

Shetland Gelding - male

Django is a playful pony who loves the company of other horses. He’d had limited training before he came to us, however with daily handling he has shown a calm and trainable nature. He’s still a little head shy, however is friendly and not difficult to catch, handle or lunge. Django needs an experienced owner who will continue his education, once educated he would suit children as a 2nd mount, or could be trained to harness. He would also suit being a childs led pony, or a companion pony to other horses.
