Money Penny
Money Penny

Money Penny

DMH - female

Money Penny and her siblings were abandoned without their mother at 1 week of age and were taken in by DCH. Money Penny is looking for an extra special family to provide lots of TLC and a loving home where she needs to be an indoor cat only as she has undergone surgery on her upper eyelid as she was born with an agnesis defect. Surgery has fixed her defect and apart from the aesthetic appearance of having smaller eyes than normal cats, we have been advised by our vets that she should live a perfectly normal life. Money Penny is an absolutely beautiful medium hair girl who is very affectionate and playful.

Thanks to Jean, Simon, Siobhann and K Curran for their donations towards Money Penny's extra vet costs.

Money Penny was adopted on 29 May 2014 after 1 month in foster care

Sox
Sox

Sox

domestic medium hair - female

Update May 2017: Sox is still looking for her forever family. An intriguing mix between shy cat and lap cat, if you're after a cat with personality (and a keen interest in piano playing) then look no further! Sox prefers being allowed outside during the day where she doesn't go far from home and comes in dutifully each afternoon. She is a beautiful looking and natured girl ready for that special home to call her own.

Sox and her brother Boots were rescued as only young kittens and raised in a home environment, but Sox has still had a rough life and has spent the several months at a time living it rough in the bush. She is now so relieved to be back in a home situation, she can't get enough pats and is becoming more and more affectionate as she settles back in.

Sox came into care with a very damaged tail, most likely from a break while living it rough, and most of the tail had to be amputated. But she is recovering nicely and it certainly doesn't detract from her stunning good looks!!

A medium hair cat, Sox is a very beautiful girl, but she will need a home who is willing to give her the time needed to settle in. After only 2 weeks in care she is already so hungry for pats and attention that I think given a few months to settle in to her new home you will find a loving lapcat!

Sox is good with other cats and dogs and if you are willing to take a chance on Sox you should be rewarded with a grateful, super affectionate, feline friend for life.

The adoption fee for Sox includes de-sexing, microchipping, and up to date vaccinations and worm treatments.

Sox was adopted on 27 June 2017 after 3.3 years in foster care

Archie
Archie

Archie

Medium x breed - male

Archie is the most delightful little pup who is great with adults, kids and other dogs. He is a little x breed of unknown origins but the vet thinks he will be a medium size boy. He is a typical pup who is enjoying life and sticking his nose into everything. He has learnt to sit, come when called along with some other basic commands. Archie has a big appetite, loads of puppy energy and is always up for a pat and cuddle. As with any pup he should have puppy school training to further his manners and socialisation. Archie just wants to play all day long although he is very quiet at night and sleeps on a bed by himself with not a peep out of him.

Archie was adopted on 21 April 2014 after 2 months in foster care

Molly
Molly

Molly

Cattle x - female

Molly is a lovely natured approximate 2 year old Cattle dog x of medium size.

She is a little bit shy but warms up to you very soon. She loves to play, loves her walks and is very obedient , she knows sit and wait and is very keen to learn more. She get very excited when it is time for her walk, but sits patiently when I put on the harness and leash on her. She absolutely loves humans and is getting toknow all our friends and neighbours. She loves to cuddle up on the couch with everybody. Molly does never beg for food, she doesn't even look at human food, but is happy when it is her feeding time, and she is not a fussy eater. Molly is very good in the car. She would love to be an only dog as she wants all your love for herself:)

Lulu
Lulu

Lulu

domestic short/medium hair - female

Lulu is a special little lady with a crazy personality and beautifully soft coat with unusual markings.
She is looking for a SUPER and very special human friend who doesn't mind a challenge.
Lulu is very, very, very timid with absolutely everyone apart from her human foster mum and fur foster brothers Kenny and Piccolo.
Because of this I assume that she would take a good month or so to feel comfortable in her forever home.
It would help her to feel more confident if she was initially confined to one room at a time where there are no hiding places and where she would need to interact with her new human friend/s. Let's face it, it would be scary for anyone to be moved into a new place with new humans you don't know.
She is a bit of a hisser when feeling scared or introduced to other cats. She is a little feisty at times and doesn't mind using she claws and teeth on your hand, however it is all in play with no aggression. If you leave your hand there and say 'no' or 'gentle' she will follow your direction. A stuffed toy when she is in this mood does the trick and saves your hand.
Lulu would suit a home with no children and not too many human friends in the house.
Once she knows you well she follows you around meowing and will flop onto the ground in front of you for a head rub, but hates her stomach being touched. Lulu just enjoys being around her human companion when you are home. She is not a lap cat and hates being picked but will sleep on your bed - she loves to bite your moving feet through the bed covers. She is happiest just finding a place near to you where she can watch whatever you are doing.
Lulu has what's called her 'suckle top'. Since she came to her carer she has always suckled on my old tops. She enjoys suckling on this daily while relaxing on the lounge with a blanket and her carer. Lulu will take her “suckle top” with her to help settle her in to a new home.
Lulu will be a challenge for whoe
