Rosie
Rosie

Rosie

DSH - female

Rosie is that rare female ginger kitten waiting for her family and is available now!

She is one of five siblings that we fostered and is the last one looking for her home. She is a sweet, friendly and fiesty kitten who needs a fair bit of company- when I'm home alone, she follows me around the house and hides under my skirt, standing on my feet so I know not to step on her. If carried, she frequently climbs onto shoulders and heads and even sits there!

When she's not with her humans, Rosie loves to play and roughhouse with her best friend Chino (pictured in one of the photos and linked to here:

http://www.dchanimalrescue.org.au/animal-3425-incare-cat-chino-domestic-medium-hair.php)

Chino is about 6 weeks older than Rosie but they've become fast friends and she chases him around and holds her own when they play fight even though she's half his size!

Rosie has been raised around young kids (4 years +) who have handled her often and she will make a great addition to a family. She would do best in a home with children and other pets. She probably won't do well alone in a home where the family is out most of the day. She is also available as a pair with Chino with whom she's bonded really well.

Rosie was adopted on 24 May 2015 after 2 months in foster care

Jo Jo
Jo Jo

Jo Jo

dsh - male

Little Jo Jo, what a brave little soul. Little Jo Jo must of been extremely hungry to risk going into a strange yard of a large scary dog (with big teeth I might add) and try too steal the the dogs yummy food. Nom, Nom Nom Jo Jo was enjoying the dogs sooo much that he didn't notice this huge dog hunching over him from behind.
" What do you think you are doing?"said large scary dog to JoJo. "Please Mr dog, i am soo hungry and lonely I will only eat alittle bit." Jo Jo replied trembling. Luckily the dog took pity on Jo Jo and picked him up in his mouth gently and presented Jo Jo to his owners.Look what I found!! Unfortunately due to circumstances beyond their control, they couldn't keep Little Jo Jo, so that is how he found his way to D.C.H and his new foster family.Jo Jo has gone from being skinny and wormed ridden to healthy and chubby and one very friendly boy.Jo Jo will be ready to adopt as soon as he can be desexed .
Jo Jo will come, desexed, mirochipped, vac, wormed , flead and nice and healthy.

Jo Jo was adopted on 12 May 2015 after 1 month in foster care

Lucy
Lucy

Lucy

Bullarab x - female

Lucy is a lovely, placid soul. Who looks like she's had a hard life up until her rescue from the pound. She appears to have had puppies in the past and came into care underweight and with poor skin. But this girl is such a big sook, she is good with other dogs and animals, she is gentle and good with kids.

A few weeks into care and her weight is good, her skin glowing and healthy and she is ready to find her forever family now.

She does jump up occasionally, but not in a hyper manner, just to let you know she wants a bit more attention, and she is quite strong on lead when she wants to be, so there is a bit of training still to do but she will otherwise make a great addition to any dog savy home.

Lucy was adopted on 02 August 2015 after 4 months in foster care

Mia
Mia

Mia

DSH - female

Mia came into care and gave birth to 4 babies. They are now old enough for new homes and so to Mia is now ready to find her own forever home.

Mia is very friendly and affectionate towards humans, she loves to be patted and given loving attention. She gets on well with her kittens but unfortunately hasn't warmed to the other cats at her carers place. So we feel she would be best suited in a home with no other cats, or possibly to go to a home with one of the kittens.

Mia was adopted on 31 July 2016 after 1.3 years in foster care
