Munchkin
Munchkin

Munchkin

DSH - male

Just look at my tail! Aren't I the cutest yet???

My name is Munchkin and I am told I'm a sooky little man. I certainly have plenty of love and affection to share - perhaps with a family including children and other (kitty-friendly!) animals?

Before coming into foster care with my siblings I grew up in a house with other cats and dogs. When we had to move, it didn't take me long at all to love my foster house and all the toys to play with.

Since I'm still a young boy, I absolutely love to play like crazy, either with my siblings, toys or foster mum. Then, when its time for a nap - and if my foster mum is around - I like to get cuddles from her until I fall asleep.

One admission. Although I'm very sweet, I do like to ask for your undivided attention during play and cuddles - no concentrating on your phone during My Time!!!!!

So, my foster mum says that I will pretty much fit right in with any family, big or small. I do hope that you will come to check me out at my Carringbah foster home. I'm looking forward to meeting you.

Munchkin is already microchipped and vaccinations and worm treatment are up to date. The adoption fee also includes de-sexing when he's old enough.

Munchkin was adopted on 01 July 2017 after 4 months in foster care

Naughty Torti
Naughty Torti

Naughty Torti

DSH - female

Hi there, my name is Naughty Torti and I am a sweet little lady. I have purrs enough to share with a family, however big or small!

Before coming into foster care with my siblings I grew up in a house with other cats and dogs. As soon as I walked in to my foster mum's place, I was at home and ready to play and explore, so we think it'll take no time for me to settle at my furever home.

I am a bit of a sook, and admit I love attention. I purr like crazy in the hope that will make me irresistible, and when I see anybody I just have to come over for some more love. Best of all is when my foster mum carries me around like a baby. It's fortunate I'm such a cute little kitty….. I also adore belly rubs, and I do rather prefer to sleep on my family.

I also enjoy a good play between cuddles and naps – with toys, my siblings and people. My foster mum says I can be a bit cheeky because I nibbled on fingers when I arrived – but, now I know it hurts a bit, I'm doing my best to remember to lick and kiss instead. I'm a quick learner.

I am certain I will fit in as a member of any loving family. Because I've been around people and other cats and dogs, my foster mum says I will also be very comfortable in a family with animals as well as children.
Of course, if you were looking to adopt more than one kitty, I'm sure I could persuade one or more of my brothers to join us!
In any event, please come to visit me at my Carringbah foster home soon.

Naughty Torti is already microchipped and vaccinations and worm treatment are up to date. The adoption fee also includes de-sexing when she's old enough.

Mara
Mara

Mara

American Staffy cross - female

Have you ever wanted a second shadow, one shaped like a dog? Well meet Mara, aka Dingus Khan.

What a complete sweetheart! This big darling girl is a total sook, and her natural position is on her back so you can scratch her belly. She wants to follow you all over the house and keep you in sight.

She is non-reactive with our other dog, who is an old girl and not much interested in her either. She does growl when Mara gets close and Mara backs away. UPDATE: These two are now buddies and there is no issue at all. However, she does react to dogs whilst out walking, and has lunged at a couple. She is nervous while out walking (but getting better), and it can possibly be attributed partly to that. She has a harness and doesn't pull much, generally happy to walk alongside you.

She is still a pup and doesn't really know her size. She has not really been trained, so loves to jump on you. We are working on this behaviour at the moment. She seems willing to learn, and is picking up commands quickly. I suspect she will require a firm hand with any new owner. UPDATE: She is now not jumping so much. She is learning to drop and roll over. She loves her treats! But takes them gently, no snatching at all. She waits patiently when her food is down to be told she can eat.

On being left alone... Well, she's not a fan. She loves being with her people. She will need a well fenced yard for when you are not home, but would definitely prefer someone that is home more often than not. She hasn't seemed very interested in toys or balls at this stage. She will look at you and then drop onto her back for a belly scratch.

Mara is one of the sweetest-natured dogs I have met. So eager and willing to please, and just wants to be loved. She wants you to be her boss and tell her what is expected of her, and will require a firm hand until she learns her place. I think she would be best suited to a retiree(s) who are looking for their extra shadow, and who will be arou

Phoebe
Phoebe

Phoebe

DSH - female

Phoebe you have been one of my biggest challenges , rescued from a life of misery on the streets not ever knowing a loving touch you proved a hard nut to crack but we did it. I absolutely adore this little girl ,although still a little on the shy side she is now a total love bug.
Phoebe loves one on one attention, she becomes a total smoocher .

Phoebe has the prettiest coat that is so soft to the touch. She plays well with the other kittens in care and she has learnt to tolerate the resident dogs (3 of them) really well.

Phoebe would make an ideal apartment cat so if your a single person or maybe a working couple looking for that special kitty Phoebe might just be the one for you . I think toddlers and young children would be to much for this shy girl but if you have a cat friendly dog I cant see it being a problem.Look forward to hearing from you.

Timmy
Timmy

Timmy

Domestic Short Hair - male

Timmy the Adventurer:
Rain pours from the sky in Timmy the Adventurer's new home, forming great puddles on the back patio and relinquishing the need, his guardians think, for the patio door to be closed. For a moment, Timmy allows his guardians to bask in their knowledge of cats and their distaste of water. Then they turn their heads and The Adventurer is out the door. As his brother, Oscar, cautiously watches over him, Timmy discovers that water is not to be feared, but be played in! He is fascinated by bubbles and in minutes finds the joy in parading through the puddles, high stepping like a Clydesdale, eliciting new joy in each splash.

This is Timmy the Adventurer, scourge of Lego mini figures, and scoundrel of the seven patio puddles. He leaves no corner unexplored as he seeks adventure and fun. Amongst his favorite treasures are the many hair ties left around the apartment, empty brown paper bags, and running faucets. Timmy also enjoys spending his time napping around the house, preferably with company (he is a very affectionate kitten), and playing with his many toys.

Likes:
Water
Hair ties
Toys
Empty bags
Cuddling and or wrestling
Napping
Company (in human or animal form)

Dislikes:
Thunder
Being told not to jump on things

Timmy has been desexed and is fully immunised with his 3 vaccinations completed. He is wormed and microchipped and looking for a new home.

He is located in the Sydney Olympic Park area.

Timmy was adopted on 30 April 2017 after 2 months in foster care

Oscar
Oscar

Oscar

Domestic Short Hair - male

Oscar the not so Wilde:
The beautiful ginger brother of Timmy the Adventurer, Oscar is smaller in stature and more calculating than his grey brother. While The Adventurer leaps into puddles without a care, Oscar watches from afar, assesses the situation, observes the results of his brother's brash actions, and THEN pounces into the puddles. He is another of the strange breeds of kitten that enjoys the water (both him and Timmy have fallen into the toilet), Oscar, however, thinks before he acts.

While Timmy startles at loud sounds, Oscar observes whether such a reaction is necessary and acts accordingly the next time. While Timmy rushes to introduce himself to any and all strangers, Oscar observes first and then introduces himself. He is slower to begin playing, but once he does, he plays with exuberance (though he is not as much of a fan of the wrestling).

We learned quickly with Oscar, however, that the quickest way to his heart is a good belly rub. He LOVES a good belly rub and will purr uncontrollably once you get it right. Oscar is a very affectionate cat, especially when he is in nap mode, which is often. He enjoys company and an empty chair to curl up in, and will chatter your ear off, telling you how he is feeling with a series of pigeon-like meows and his peaceful purr.

Likes:
Water
Racquetballs
Empty bags
Napping
Belly rubs
Chatting
Company (in human or animal form)

Dislikes:
Acting fast
Being the first to do anything
When you stop rubbing his belly

Oscar has been desexed and is fully immunised with his 3 vaccinations completed. He is wormed and microchipped and looking for a new home.

He is located in the Sydney Olympic Park area.

Oscar was adopted on 30 April 2017 after 2 months in foster care

Roy
Roy

Roy

Domestic Short Hair - male

Foster Carer or New Home NeededRoy is a really handsome boy. He has a beautiful soft ginger coat with a thick white bib and socks, and a striking thick tail. He's inquisitive, will quickly check out anything that changes in our house, and still has kitten energy which is a lot of fun. He is quite independent and will sometimes disappear downstairs for a bit of solo time, but loves to curl up with us on the sofa or the end of the bed for a long sleep too. He has a cute little miaow.

He enjoys being around people of all ages, is happy to be handled and comes to greet anyone who comes to the door, but he is also quite happy to be left during the day.

We have primary-school aged children and the cats both enjoy them.

He have always been an inside cat, but Roy in particular seems very keen to go outside.

He is desexed, litter trained, and vaccinations and worming/flea treatments are up to date. They are in excellent health and love a mix of wet and dry food.

Located in St Ives

Roy was adopted on 30 April 2017 after 1 month in foster care
