Yoda
Yoda

Yoda

Chihuahua x - male

Yoda is a bit like his name sake, a little older, a little wizened but this older gent has the most gorgeous soul that shines out of him. He loves having a fellow similar sized canine friend in the backyard and quite enjoys games of chasing and pretend fetch (he runs for the toy and then races back to tell you that he found it but he's not picking it up thanks : ) He loves his humans (he's very loyal) and its not unusual to have him at your heels watching everything you do. He is very good at bath and is not a fussy eater - quite the reverse actually

he absolutely loves his food, he has been practicing sitting and is very food responsive. Yoda has mild luxating patella in one leg which this gives him no trouble at all. He enjoys his morning naps in the sun and is quite happy to hang out with his canine mates until you come home and once you are home he is thrilled to bits to see you and his tail doesn't stop wagging. Yoda is fine with kids, he absolutely loves any human attention regardless of age. This loyal little man is just so well behaved and will give you huge amounts of love and affection if you just give him a chance to win you over with his sweet disposition.

Yoda was adopted on 28 November 2009 after 7 months in foster care

Beau
Beau

Beau

Sharpei X - male

Beau is a beautiful looking and beautiful natured boy. He has a gorgeous deep tan coat which is actually quite soft to touch. His cheeks are just so chubby you want to pinch them. Beau has been with his current owners for a while after they rescued him, but after a very heartfelt decision, they have decided that due to their personal circumstances, they do need to rehome him. Beau has all his vetwork done, including desexing and has current vaccinations. He is also microchipped and lifetime registered. Beau is fantastic with other dogs and does love their company. He is very well behaved, especially in the car where he just sits beautifully, waiting to be taken to some exciting location. He is still quite young so does need his daily walk/run. Beau is great off lead and has been enjoying himself immensely at his local off lead dog beaches. Beau is used to being inside a fair bit and is fully housetrained. He would need a yard with quite good fencing but certainly wants to be inside at some stage and does sleep inside at night. Beau is quite affectionate and would suit anyone looking for a dog who is already trained but still nice and young who can keep his new owners active and fit. His owners are living currently in the northern suburbs of the Illawarra.

Kermit
Kermit

Kermit

Staffy x - male

Kermit is an old soul. He's ultra placid and gentle. Very, very sweet natured and impossible not to love. He really just wants to be near you and follow you around and sleep on you lol. He's very well behaved for such a young dog it's almost spooky. He has the sweetest most soulful little puppy eyes. Kermit is a very special dog. We would love for him to go to an equally special home where he will get the attention he craves and deserves. He would be suited as a house dog and would be very sad if he was to be left alone in a yard all day.

Kermit was adopted on 25 November 2009 after 3 weeks in foster care

Tessa
Tessa

Tessa

Kelpie x Shep - female

Tessa is a sweetheart. She is playful and social with other dogs but call her to you and she will crawl up on her belly wagging her tail sheepishly and then will melt into your arms and snuggle in. She's the best of both worlds- active and responsive, but also very soft natured and sweet. Tessa would suit a household with or without children allthough she currently resides with 4. Being an active dog its important for her to go to an active family/onwer who will take her for walks and keep her stimulated.

Tessa was adopted on 25 November 2009 after 3 weeks in foster care

Jordie
Jordie

Jordie

Aussie Shepherd/Border Collie - male

Jordie is an extremely affectionate puppy. He is a super sweety with a gentle loving nature He adores cuddles and would love to be carried around all day if it was possible. He has plenty of energy to chase the ball and play around. Jordie would love a home with other playmates human or animal. Jordie is best suited a home with a very shady yard due to his pink nose.

Jordie was adopted on 22 November 2009 after 3 weeks in foster care

Sooty
Sooty

Sooty

DSH - female

Sooty was rescued from a feral colony. She was obviously meant to be with humans though as she took no time at all to tame. She now follows you around and much prefers people to other cats. Sooty, at only 8 months of age gave birth to 5 gorgeous kittens on 28:10:08 She has done a wonderful job and all 5 have survived

which was unexpected for a cat who is still a kitten herself. Sooty is a very small cat and will probably stay very small (a mini cat). She is mostly white with ginger appaloosa spots on her back and a few patches elsewhere on her coat, and a ginger/blacktabby coloured tail. She will need to be with a person who is home a lot as she really enjoys human company.

Sooty was adopted on 22 November 2009 after 1 year in foster care

Corey
Corey

Corey

Collie Rough - male

This is one beautiful boy! So gentle natured and calm.. He loves the attention and company of adults and children alike. He will lift his paw to place on your lap, and stick his nose under your arm if you stop patting him. Loves a good brush. He is well socialised with other dogs and cats, and is good on a lead. As he is an older dog, he needs to sleep indoors, and be a part of the family.

Corey was adopted on 22 November 2009 after 4 months in foster care

Mickey
Mickey

Mickey

DSH - male

This little cutie is all white except for a little grey stripe on the top of the boys head. Mickey is super affectionate, easy to handle and a delightful, confident young man. He's very inquisitive and playful and will do fine in a busy household with kids and dogs. Mickey needs to be inside mostly due to his colouring however he does like to duck outside for a quick nibble of grass, so he'd be best suited to a house rather than a unit/apartment.

Mickey was adopted on 19 November 2009 after 11 months in foster care

Tamm
Tamm

Tamm

Tri coloured Collie Rough - male

Tamm came into care underweight and with a history of not being a good eater at all, certainly did not chew bones. A few days in care and Tamm 's face on one side blow up like a balloon and thinking maybe a bee sting he went straight to the vets where it was revealed that he had a terribly infected tooth and several major ulcers on the inside of his mouth. This long term infection started where the thumb is on the picture and had travelled all the way under the skin and was coming out where the 3 sores are near his nose. Tamm had to have emergency surgery to remove the pockets of ulcerated infection and also his back tooth. He is recovering well, definately got an appetite now and is making up for lost time in that regard, eats anything now, a massive bowl full very night including chicken necks.

If you can help sponsor some of Tamms additional vet costs please call Megan on 9627 2767 or email dchanimaladoptions@iprimus.com.au or click below Thanks to Paul and Julia for their generous donations towards Tamms vet fees. These have now been fully covered.

Tamm was adopted on 18 November 2009 after 3 weeks in foster care

Molly Moo
Molly Moo

Molly Moo

Foxy x - female

Molly is a girl's girl who loves to sit on your lap and cuddle up, she is so gentle and gets along well with my JRT so would suit a house as an only pet or a second pet with another small dog. Needs owner/s who are willing to let her be an inside dog (she is well behaved indoors) and let her be part of the family. Molly is smart and learnt the rules very quickly. She has been no problem to foster and will make a great family pet

Molly Moo was adopted on 16 November 2009 after 1 weeks in foster care
